I am a recovering alcoholic and examples are or how to know if someone is an alcoholic is this:

Hiding beer or liquor in the house

drunk all the time

throwing up when drinking

not caring

life becomes unmanageable

loses job

blames others for everything

What it boils down to is when a person has no limitation and drinks a lot to a point that they don't know when to quit you then know you are an alcoholic. With me it got to a point where I was drinking from 8:00 a.m. til I basically passed out.
