from worst to best - bronze, iron, steel, black and white, mithril (mith), addamant (addy), rune and dragon (drag). there is one more level of armour above dragon which is called barrows. there are 6 different sets of barrows armor and each ahs a speacial effect when wearing the whole of that set (helmet, body, legs and weapon).
