They are painful ( at least mine were ).

I caught a hockey puck that was shot into the crowd 7 years ago & have had bone fragments between my right thumb & forefinger ever since then.

I can feel them moving around & would like them taken out.

Depending on where you have them, you may be better off having them removed.
