Cysts are small anatomically normal sac or bladder-like structure (especially one containing fluid).

It is also a closed sac that develops abnormally in some body structure.
The word cyst is derived from the greek work Kystis, which means bladder. Today it is used in medicine to mean a sac like structure which contains fluid, gas, or a semisolid material with a lining. The name of the cyst is from the type of cells that make up the lining of the cyst. For example a follicular cysts has a lining consisting of cells which make up hair follicles. Other follicular cysts are named because they contain cells from the ovarian follicles. Sebaceous cysts are lined by cells from sebaceous glands of hair follicles. Some cysts are named for their contents such as hemorrhagic or blood cysts which are so named because they result from the encapsulation of a hematoma.

Is it true if you take birth control pills and you have ovarian cysts it shrieks it is that true?

Not exactly. The pill won't shrink the existing cysts, but will lower the risk of future cysts. The existing cysts will normally shrink with time, if they are "functional cysts," i.e. cysts that happen due to normal ovulation, but then "hang around" too long afterwards.
