Lord Baden-Powell first started Brownie Girl Guides in 1914 as the youngest group in the Guides Association. There are two Girl Guide organizations in Ireland: Catholic Guides of Ireland (CGI) and The Irish Girl Guides (IGG) For the CGI, the level for ages 5 to 6 is called Cygnet Guides and age level 6 to 11 is called Brigin Guides.
