information about dates on which certain celestial bodies
Probably an astronomer.
The existence of Mars has been known since antiquity. Ancient astronomers noted that Mars was one of the celestial bodies which does not bear a constant relation to the others. These moveable bodies were called planets, and the ancients were aware of the following planets which can be seen with the naked eye--Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
Mercury is called the morning star and the evening star because it can be seen during the day and the night. Venus can also be seen in the day and night too.
When seen from some other part of our galaxy (which WE have named The Milky Way) our solar system would appear to be a celestial system. Any star with surrounding stars or planets is considered to be a "celestial system". Even this or other galaxies are considered to be "celestial systems".

The term "celestial bodies" refers to all of the objects in space that are identified by name or location: comets, asteroids, moons, rings, planets, stars, nebulas, galaxies, and any other material structure seen or detected in space. The term "celestial body" is usually not used to refer to meteoroids and small space debris. It does not apply to the individual tiny particles in rings, or to the solar wind, or to any energy phenomena.

Reason #1: It's blocked by the Earth below your feet. Reason #2: "Night" is defined as the time when sun did not seen. If sun did seen, then would be called "day".
Retrograde motion is motion in the opposite direction. In the case of celestial bodies, such motion may be real, defined by the inherent rotation or orbit of the body, or apparent, as seen in the skies from Earth.
