It depends. Some common ones were actually 13".
Yes, you can get a 4g mobile phone from Verizon. You can either get it at their brick and mortar store or online.
Office Max sells Nortel phones. Numerous online shops specializing in Nortel phones are available as well, however I can only find confirmation of Office Max as a well-known brick and mortar store that sells them.
they really damage your brain because people constantly put them to their ear and the electrical atoms in the cell phone can get into your body and slowly but surely damage your brain especially brick phones
According to the Retro Brick web site, a vintage phone retailer [see article at http://www.retrobrick.com/moto8000.html], the original Motorola DynaTAC 8000Xwas "13 x 1.75 x 3.5 inches in dimension." A blog site called "Cool (Old) Gadgets" [http://pastgadgets.blogspot.com/2007/07/motorola-dynatac-8000x-aka-brick.html] claims that these dimensions do not include the antenna!
Large, bulky "brick" phones were displaced by their newer, smaller counterparts (flip phones, bar phones, slate phones) which offer greater portability thanks to smaller antennas and slimmer battery packs. The transition coincided with the advent of the 2G (second generation) wireless phone technology in 1991. Most of the new phones produced after that time were the smaller, non-brick type. This change was possible not only through technological improvements such as more advanced batteries and more energy-efficient electronics, but also because of the higher density of cell sites to accommodate increasing usage. The latter meant that the average distance transmission from phone to the base station shortened, leading to increased battery life while on the move and making the smaller phones with less battery capacity practical.
Pennies, rocks, heavy phones (old phones, usually like the brick), and likely chapter books would too. Some examples that DO NOT sink are wood, graphite, pencils, and empty plastic cups.
Most phones which are of the "brick" style can be hard enough to hit people with. Fliptops and cordless phones can also do pretty decent damage, but corded phones can sometimes detach during the swing; if they do stay intact, the extra speed can be useful if you can make it connect.
It started in the late 90s. The first "Cell phones" were brick things that you just wouldn't want to take with you anyway, and email only became popular near the start of 2000's.
around the middle of 2012 but older telecom phones like the brick one are starting to close around now
