Distemper: A highly contagious disease that causes death in the majority of those who contract it. There is no cure and only supportive therapy can be provided. Euthanasia is often recommended by professionals due to the severe neurological disorders that often plague those who survive.

Parvo: A disease typically caught before a pups immune system is able to fight it off during the first 10 weeks of life that causes severe dehydration and is often deadly. Supportive therapy includes keeping a pup hydrated until the pup recovers. Immunization and isolation during immune system development is the best preventative measure.

Tick Borne Illness: Illness such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever that is transmitted through an infected tick's bite.

There are others like: Whipworm, roundworm, tapeworm, hookworm, and heartworm, that you have to look up for different definitions. But this is all the information I know of. Hope this helps, Lin P.

Pitbulls are known for being an aggressive breed, and many people encounter that issue while the pitbull is still young. They can bite, nip, chew, growl and bark. They also have a lot of energy, which means they need to expend that energy.
