Depends what you mean by 'everyday' England is a big country, and a multicultural society, shaped by many influences, which includes our cuisine. Popular foods include the more traditional hearty stews, pies, fish and chips, fry ups, stuff like that, but Indian, Chinese, Italian, French and a few others feature heavily in British food, and you can get pretty much anything if you want it. In the last few days I have eaten.... A curry (it was really nice incidentally), spaghetti with pesto and garlic bread, fish and chips, a roast dinner, burgers, steak. I really want a Thai penang curry, but there are no decent Thai places near me, and I can't be bothered to cook it. ho hum :(
