they used to have little mice that would run out on the fields and that would transmit energy to the radars!!! isn't that incredible!!!!!
cyclone watch is used. satellites and radars help us too!
True. Doppler radar can detect tornadoes.
Tornadoes activity is monitored largely using a network of Doppler radars. In the U.S. those radars are owned and operated by the National Weather Service, which is an agency of the federal government.
I'm assuming you meant 'radars,' and there are a few: X band, Ka band, and K band. X band is older technology, dating back to the 50's and is easily detectable up to 4 miles away and it is only really accurate inside of a 1/2 mile or so. K band is one of the most widely used radar bands, and can be used from a moving vehicle. Can be detected up to 2 miles. Ka band is a much wider wavelength radar and only newer detectors can pick up the signal. Outside of these, laser guns are a whole other story!
They use science for things like radars, computers etc. so they can see the criminals
Radars are used in various applications such as air traffic control, weather monitoring, maritime navigation, and military defense. They work by emitting radio waves that bounce off objects and return signals, allowing the detection of the object's location, speed, and direction. Advanced radar systems now include features like target identification and tracking, Doppler processing, and integration with other technologies for enhanced situational awareness.
Microwaves are typically used for radars because they have the right combination of properties, such as being able to reflect off objects and being able to penetrate various weather conditions. These microwaves have wavelengths ranging from one meter to one millimeter.
Radar on an airplane is used to detect and avoid severe weather, namely thunderstorms.it is also used to detect enemy or friendly air crafts surrounding the area of flight. It keeps an aircraft present on other aircraft radars and also on the ground radars. Transport aircraft do NOT detect other aircrafts. It MAY on military airplanes but again NOT on transport aircraft.
Microwaves are used in weather forecasting through instruments like weather radars. These radars send out microwave pulses that bounce off precipitation particles in the atmosphere, helping meteorologists track the movement of storms and estimate their intensity. By analyzing the data acquired, weather forecasters can make more accurate predictions about the weather in a given area.
the devices, senses, equipment that are used within a device or mechanism, for instance the instruments of a plane would be its radars and sensors for flying
They were developed in the early 1940's. One of the first working radar was at Pearl Harbor, but the day of the attack it was turned off.
