What is farm ponds?

A farm pond can be an idyllic setting for enjoyable recreation activities like swimming, fishing, camping and picnicking. Found throughout rural America, farm ponds are typically one fifth of an acre or larger in size, with earthen bottoms consisting of clay soils. A number of warm-water fish species can live in farm ponds. Many farm ponds are both practical and pretty.
