AshOctober 24, 2011 I can answer that with a celmlotepy true and honest answer. Yes people do have computers at work. A LOT OF PEOPLE have computers at work and do have some free time to answer questions. I am a secretary at a high school and end up having a lot of free time and get bored and come here to do this. Plus, why would only people on welfare do this?? That is a stupid and harsh remark. What about kids who are out of school for the day sick? Or people who aren't at work because they are sick? What about kids who are homeschooled? It's just a rude and judgemental comment to make. It makes your mother sound un-intelligent.

Factors affecting childhood education are:

  1. Different cultures view education in various ways.
  2. All students enter school with different socioeconomic backgrounds. Some come from extremely rich families, while others come from excessively poor backgrounds.
  3. Budget cuts affect everyone, but they especially hurt children in public education. Elementary school teachers are often qualified to teach all of the core subjects, but high school teachers are usually qualified to teach in a specialized subject.
  4. A student's desire to learn can have a big effect on her education. Desire can probably overcome any other factor. If a child has desire, it matters less where he comes from, how much money he has and what his daily life is like. The poorest child in the United States can achieve more than the most entitled person if he has desire and the wealthier child does not.
