The Ford Motor Company produced passenger cars and trucks with its primary line the Model T and its successor, the Model A, which featured design innovations and a low price. Thousands of Model Ts were converted into pickup trucks by their owners by having the T's rear body cut into a cargo bed. The conversions prompted Ford to produce trucks begining in 1925.
