"The conceptions regarding the nature and character of Christ, and the value of the Christian Scriptures as historical evidence, are many, chief of which are the following

Orthodox Christians believe that Christ is a historical character, supernatural and divine; and that the New Testament narratives, which purport to give a record of his life and teachings, contain nothing but infallible truth.

Conservative Rationalists, like Renan, and the Unitarians, believe that Jesus of Nazareth is a historical character and that these narratives, eliminating the supernatural elements, which they regard as myths, give a fairly authentic account of his life. Many radical Freethinkers believe that Christ is a myth, of which Jesus of Nazareth is the basis, but that these narratives are so legendary and contradictory as to be almost if not wholly, unworthy of credit. Other Freethinkers believe that Jesus Christ is a pure myth -- that he never had an existence, except as a Messianic idea, or an imaginary solar deity. The first of these conceptions must be rejected because the existence of such a being is impossible, and because the Bible narratives which support it are incredible. The second cannot be accepted because, outside of these incredible narratives, there is no evidence to confirm it. One of the two last is the only true and rational conception of the Christ."

Well, Christianity is the best religion you could have, no matter what other people tell you.

  • Christianity is a religion that worships the one and only god.. God!!
  • christians will go to heaven after they die
  • if you are a christian, if you have sinned, all you have to do is pray to God and ask that he forgives your sins, and he will! everytime you ask for forgiveness, it's like your slate is wiped clean! you have to mean it though!

Originally the term Christian wasn't coined until years after Jesus Christ's resurrection and accent into Heaven.

Christianity is stereotypically seen as a "European" religion. However the first heroes, saints, apostles, prophets, and followers of Christ while He was walking the earth were mostly from the Middle East. And just like Jesus, many of the first apostles and saints were ethnic Jews.

In true Christianity the worship of Angels and Saints are forbidden.

In a big twist of events, Rome eventually made Christianity the empire's religion. Prior to this Christian persecution was excessive.

Although Christianity is considered an off-shoot of Judaism, many Christians still follow some Jewish traditions such as passover and eating only Kosher prepared food.

After Christ's Resurrection and spreading of the apostles, many former-pagan cultures adopted the faith of Christianity from Rome to Western Europe to Africa and even into Asia.
Jesus the son of God died on the cross for your sins and mine because he loves you more than you can possibly imagine.

As their are over 30,000 churches/buildings claiming to be Christian, it would be difficult to delineate facts that each denomination/sect would agree upon. Suffice it to say each claims belief in God - one, two, or three divine beings in one Godhead, each follows what they believe remains of the Law of God - some continuing as Jesus and the Apostles did, many others have modified or abolished some laws, some worship on Friday sunset to Saturday sunset or the original Sabbath, others Saturday, the vast majority on Sunday. And the list continues...
