1. He was God or at least a piece of God's consciousness separated from God and put into a human body

2. He was a Jewish carpenter who lived in Israel

3. He was executed on the roman dollar by Jewish religious leader known as Pharisees on charges of blaspheme

4. He established a following of many thousands of people that eventually turned into one of the most powerful religious institutions ever as well as in my opinion one of the most influential.

5. He was very intelligent and capable as a leader and speaker

6. At the time of his life he was considered very inconsequential and was largely ignored

7. He was never married and never had children

8. he was talented at pissing people off as well as wining them over, both done with total honesty

9. He was a descendant of the Hebrew King David

10. He was executed in his early thirties as a criminal for no more reason than he made some people feel threatened.

11. the things he preached regardless of your religious status or affiliation are good things to live by and adhere to as simply a code of ethics.

Facts can be defined as either:

1. something said to be true or supposed to have happened, or
   
2. a truth known by actual experience or observation;something known to be true.
   

By the first test, Jesus is the Son of God, a Jewish carpenter who, while in his early or mid thirties, was crucified in Jerusalem by the orders of the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate. These things are said to be true, based on the evidence of the New Testament gospels.

By the second test, we know very little about Jesus that is genuinely factual. What we believe about Jesus are not truths known by actual experience or observation; nor are they known absolutely to be true. A fact about Jesus, known from Paul's epistles and the Book of Hebrews is that he was already worshipped long before the first gospel was written, around 70 CE. We may then disagree with Burton L. Mack but, in Who Wrote the New Testament, he says of the first New Testament gospel "Mark's Gospel is an obvious fiction, masterfully composed by someone who had to be doing his work at a desk as any author would." As the other gospels are based, directly (Matthew, Luke) or indirectly (John) on Mark, the research of Mack and others must equally cast doubt on the reliability of all the gospels. There is little known absolutely to be true about Jesus, and we base our belief on faith, not facts.
