Like other dromaeosaurs, Velociraptor was a small, bipedal, feathered, lizard-hipped dinosaur. They were carnivorous, and were armed with claws, teeth, and a sickle claw on each foot.

The trait that separates Velociraptor from other dromaeosaurs is its unusual skull shaped. The skull was long and relatively flat, and it was concave on the top and convex on the bottom.

Velociraptor was 6 feet long and weighed 33 lb.

All known carnivorous dinosaurs were theropods.

All theropods were bipeds, with three main toes and a small dewclaw (a toe that wasn't long enough to touch the ground)

Theropods usually killed their prey using their teeth and jaws, but some, such as dromaeosaurs, had a long, curved claw on one toe of each foot, which they may have used for hunting.

The largest known theropod was probably Spinosaurus.

Theropods were the first dinosaurs. All other dinosaurs evolved from early theropods.

Theropods also evolved into birds. In fact, birds are actually the only surviving dinosaurs!

Velociraptor lived in what is now Mongolia and north-central China between 75 and 71 million years ago. It was 6 feet long, 2 feet tall, and weighed 33 lb. They were carnivores. Unlike their depiction in Jurassic Park, Velociraptor probably was solitary. Velociraptor ate small animals, scavenged, and also hunted Protoceratops.

What is the scienctific name for the T-Rex?

Oddly enough, the name T-rex is its own scientific name. It's the abbreviation of the binomial name Tyrannosaurus rex and translates to "Tyrant lizard king" from latin.Interesting fact: as it is the abbreviation of a scientific name, it should be written as "T. rex", not "T-Rex" or "T Rex."
