my bio teacher was talking about white blood cells and he said they make feet to walk to the microbes and destroy them. then he said that those feet where called false feet. i hope this kinda helps.

False feet, or pseudopodia in Latin, is basically a cytoplasmic projection of the amoeba which it uses to move itself around, as it does not have cilia like a paramecium. What it does is it extends its cell membrane, then anchors it on the ground. It then flows its 'innards' into the projection
