Well... "Good Pokemon" is hard to define but generally in yellow psychic is the best type because bug moves are so scarce and not powerful enough.
Jolteon is a really good sweeper Rhydon a good physical Gengar an extremely fast sleeper, Chansey and snorlax both good for their massive HP, legendaries are always good... personally though my faveourite is rapidash with firespin, bodyslam, fireblast and agility. most Pokemon have their strengths but the trick is to combine them to make a good team to counter anything.

∙ 13y agoWell, first, it depends which Pokemon suits you. I strongly recommend getting different types (e.g. Fire, Grass, Water, Electric, Steel, Rock). It doesn't have to be those, but at least different types! Try different Pokemon, some have specific battle styles. Pokemon with a lower defence probably needs some defence moves that make that rank higher.
Since it's Yellow, I haven't played that in a long time... Try using different Pokemon (like I said earlier), and beat your rival~! >:]
