Computer hardware is a broad term. If you are referring to monitors and the towers, the most common hazard is to the back, moving heavy monitors or cases from one place to the other. If you are talking about working inside a computer, if you unplug the case, that takes away the risk of being shocked by electricity. The biggest hazard that remains is getting cuts from sharp cases or the cards inside the case. Working on traditional CRT monitors can be hazardous. Once you unplug the monitor from the power source the tube maintains a charge and either needs time to discharge or by carefully grounding it out. Instructions can be found on the internet on how to do this. Once that is done, the only hazard that remains is sharp parts.
