Like all animals, the cheetah's instincts lead him/her to find food, find a mate, procreate and survive. The females protect and raise their young. Males of the cat family often try to kill any offspring that they have not fathered- I do not know about cheetaks.,

Cheetahs are predators-- they survive by hunting game and killing it to eat it.
Cheetahs are somewhat like domestic cats...they have a lot of instincts! They know how to take care of their young, even if it's their first time being a mother! They know how to stay alert, because there are different things that can harm them out in the wild!
