peptidoglycan.
Long chains of amino acids are called polypeptides.
Carbohydrates
Long chains of amino acids are called polypeptides.
Proteins
Proteins
Amino acids bond together to make long chains and those long chains of amino acids are also called proteins.
Long chains of sugars are complex carbohydrates. Three examples are sucrose, glucose, and fructose.
Starch :)
Long chains of amino acids are called polypeptides.

Carbon has the ability to Catenate. That is form long chains. This is evidenced by polymerisation. Ethene ( H2C=CH2) will polymerise into 'polyethene' more commonly known as ' polythene'. Chemically it is represented by n(H2C=CH2) ===> -[-CH2-CH2-]- n The double bond in ethene breaks to form a single bond , also form the long chains of 'n' number of molecules/units. The CH bond remains unaffected and also remains a SINGLE C-H bond.
Chains of monosaccharides are called polysaccharides.
