One of the worst misconceptions of HIV/ AIDS is when people say "I am immune" or if they haven't gotten it by now they never will.

which both are ignorant because no on is above it all or immune.

What are some common misconceptions about the transmission of AIDS?

One of the most common misperceptions about HIV and AIDS is that AIDS is not transmittable. There is only one way to develop AIDS, and that is to be infected with HIV. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is the virus that causes people to develop AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.) AIDS is a diagnosis of a condition, not a disease that can be transmitted. HIV is acquired through contact with infected body fluid. Contrary to popular belief, it is relatively difficult to be infected with the virus. The virus is only transmittable through blood, semen, vaginal fluid or breast milk. Other body fluids (like saliva) carry no risk of infection. HIV risk activities include needle sharing (injection drug use, tattooing and body piercing) and unprotected sex (oral, anal or vaginal.)

How has aids been constructed in Africa?

AIDS in Africa has often been constructed as a public health crisis deeply intertwined with social, cultural, and economic factors. Stigmatization and discrimination against those living with HIV/AIDS have been prevalent, fueled by misconceptions about the disease and its transmission. Additionally, the response to the epidemic has been influenced by colonial histories, gender inequalities, and limited access to healthcare resources, which exacerbate the challenges in prevention and treatment efforts. This multifaceted construction has led to various interventions that address not only the medical aspects of AIDS but also the broader social determinants of health.
