The biggest myth (or misunderstanding) about copyright is that it's designed to stifle creativity. In reality, the intent was to encourage creativity by making it financially viable to create for a living. Say you write a book that you want to publish and sell. If anyone else can copy it and sell it, you're not going to make as much money as you could have if you were the only source.
Other myths include...
There are a great many "urban myths" surrounding copyright law but the two most popular are probably... 1) You have to put a copyright notice on a work to protect it (not since 1989) 2) If I don't charge money for it it's not an infringement. (yes it is)
There are a variety of reasons...1) Ignorance of the copyright laws.2) Copyright "Urban myths" (I can use X amount of a work w/o permission, If I don't charge for it it's ok, etc)3) The belief that the internet is anonymous so I won't get caught4) I gave the original author credit so I can do it5) If there's no copyright notice it's free for me to use.
Greek myths and legends were developed thousands of years ago. That may not seem very specific, however, we do not have any accurate dates for these things; when they first appeared, they were not published in books with copyright dates, they were an oral tradition, handed down by verbal storytelling, generally with no dates being mentioned.
Myths are myths, and historians pass on the myths.
Myths are myths, and historians pass on the myths.
There are many myths that recur around the world, such as creation myths, myths about the origin of fire, and flood myths.
"Copyright in fragment" is a common misspelling of "copyright infringement," which is the violation of copyright.
You would have to check with an attorney to be sure of any of this. If the myths and legends have been passed down verbally, then the stories themselves probably cannot be copyrighted by anyone. However, anything that has been written or produced (films, drawings, music as well as text) is probably copy protected. In other words, while the myths can be talked about and written about, you can't take someone else's writing and use it freely without permission or claim it as your own.
No there is no myths
Myths Are True?

No. Myths are not necessary in the way, food, water and air are necessary. But myths are fun.
