William Gilbert or William gilberd (they are the same person either way!)
No one invented electricity. It's a natural phenomenon. Many have studied and described its nature, however; Ben Franklin, Andre Ampere, Charles Coulomb, Michael Faraday, Alessandro Volta, George Simon Ohm, and many, many more.

I believe Ben Franklin was the one who discovered electricity with the kite and the key..but I'm not sure why. +++ No - he realised the nature of lightning, but in fact many 18-19C scientists investigated electricity.
All references to the discovery in 1676 that animals generate electricity, simply mention scientists and not specific names. A few famous scientists who were working in that year on groundbreaking experiments were Isaac Newton and Antony von Leeuwenhoek.
There were two individual scientists who invented the three-point bending test. Their names were Werner Butscher and Friedrich Riemeier.

nobody invented electricity. it already existed
Electricity was not invented it was discovered. Electricity is a natural part of nature.....look at lightning, that is electricity.
static electricity and current electricity
Electricity is a natural phenomenon, and was not invented by anyone.
scientists invented the tsunameter
Arithmetic progression was invented and discovered by two different mathematicians and scientists. Their names were Harvey Dubner and Tony Forbes.
