Best Answer

Non-residual foods are soft and low in fibre so that the intestines are not irritated during digestive process. The foods recommended to us were cream of wheat rather than oatmeal; mashed white potatoes (sweet potatoes and yams may be stringy); white rice rather than brown rice; cooked fruit and vegetables; low fat meats (skinless chicken, turkey, lean beef);fish. This information was given to us by the dietician at the liver transplant clinic where my husband is a post-transplant patient.

What force is not like nuclear force?

There is not a single observable force in the known universe that even resembles the nuclear force, and I'm going to assume you mean the strong nuclear force. For one thing, the strong nuclear force has a residual force (the force that holds the protons and neutrons together in the nucleus) that is inversely proportional to distance, whereas its nonresidual form (the force that keeps the quarks together in protons and neutrons) reaches a maximum value and then neither increases nor decreases in magnitude with distance.Secondly, the nonresidual force has gauge boson, the gluon, as its exchange particle whereas its residual form uses a type of particle called a meson (a quark antiquark pair) as its carrier. The coolest thing is though, that this bizarre behavior is explained beautifully through the use of what's known as the SU(3) symmetry group, a relatively easy group to understand in the field of math known as group theory.
