Yes..........it is without a doubt a scam. I received an email from Champion Promo informing me that i was randomely choosen and i have won a large sum of money. When I responded they told me to contact EAST PRIVATE BANK IN THE UK. I queried this and was sent another email from Congress Bank asking for my banking details and identity number. After questioning them they have not sent me anymore mails

I can't find any reference to an Eagle Bank PLC in the UK. However, the Barclays Bank logo is an eagle with it's wings spread. There was a Nigerian bank called Eagle Bank and they may have had a UK branch, but Eagle was closed down by the Nigerian authorities in 2006. If you are being asked to send money to "Eagle Bank PLC" in the UK, beware as it is probably a scam.
