One OpinionIt's been reported by many as an "advance fee" scam where you are promised a loan you'll never get. It's not denied that they solicit fees for your loan, to the tune of about $100, U.S. (49.99 UK pounds). With so many reputable banks and pawn shops out there, one would not be wise to pay an "advance fee" to a place with so many concerns about it. Another OpinionThis company is a regulated finance broker, and is not a scam. And here's the facts:It is a "regulated finance broker" in the sense that it has a registered number under the government of the United Kingdom. That number shows a company that has been through a lot of changes in it's less than a year existence.

It's real name is Finance Capital Limited and it's registered number is 06946145. It's listed business address is Stewart House Royal Court, MacClesfield, Cheshire, SK117AE.

All that is according to UKData. UKData wanted to give a brief synopsis of the company, but couldn't. As they put it, "this company has either not or only recently filed accounts with the Registrar, so we are currently unable to offer a company credit report". They did have this list of documents filed by the company, though:

June 27, 2009 - New Incorporation documents.

July 30, 2009 - Notice of change of directors or secretaries or in their particulars.

August 18, 2009 - Notice of change of directors or secretaries or in their particulars.

August 26, 2009 - Notice of change of directors or secretaries or in their particulars.

September 3, 2009 - Notice of change of directors or secretaries or in their particulars.

October 7, 2009 - Particulars of a mortgage or charge.

May 6, 2010 - Change of Registered Office Address.

Newly incorporated, no accounts or filings available for review yet, four changes in the Directorship/officers, and an address change. And as of June 27, 2010, they will have existed for one year total.

These facts were obtained from visiting the website of FC Loans and looking at the bottom of the front page for their address and contact information. The address at the bottom was identical to the address of Finance Capital Limited, and a search showed that they are the same. The site UKData is a dot com site, and can be easily checked by any with concerns.
