Anything that doesn't actually violate the law ("So, were all of your great-grandparents white?") is a "possible" question. If you're wondering if they might ask you to actually solve a mechanical engineering problem, yes, they certainly might do so. It would probably be one that actually relates to the job in question, but you shouldn't necessarily assume that it couldn't possibly be about some basic mechanical engineering principle that isn't directly relevant ... they might want to see if your knowledge is "broad" or "deep".
