Plastic grocery bag = 1,000 years in a landfill
Disposable diaper = 400 years
Aluminum cans = 500 years
Milk Jugs = 500 years
Glass Jar = up to 1 million years
Styrofoam = possibly never- think of your take out containers, your daily java fix
In order to facilitate decomposition in landfills, oxygen is needed to aerate the trash. A simple banana peel can last up to 40 years in a landfill without proper aeration. Recycling in EVERY household can reduce our waste by up to half.
I know recycling can seem like a pain but those facts alone seem to be pros enough for me to recycle.
I
PROS Recycling is good for our environment because we are reusing the things that we already used and if everybody recycled we wouldn't need to cut down as much trees. CONS Recycling uses energy and it also pollutes the Earth because of machinery use.
Mandatory recycling is thought of as a good thing although there are also cons to it. A pro would be more recycling of goods and a con would be the punishments of not following the rule.
con: melting it will use energy and release chemicals into the atmosphere
if recycling is mandatory then you will only be payed 1 cent every 5 pounds and you will be gay Yes i concurr with this statement and would like to add that your probably extremely obease
Omg! I so sympathize with you. Good luck with working this issue out. I'm sorry that i can't be more helpful.
home recycling is recycling
Office Depot Lets You Help The Environment & Earn Rewards Qualified purchases exclude any taxes, fees, discounts, etc. Office Depot Recycling Program with other office supply store programs, I've compiled a pros and cons list.
Pro: Its great for the environment and prevents more pollution due to trash Con: It costs more for companies to recycle than to just use new materials
recycle...possibly
where can recycling be done?recycling can be done anywhere in australia weather you go to the recycling store and recycle bottleor can.
The cons: Takes time to do In some places if you don't recycle it is illegal The Pros: You can get money for what you recycle (aluminum just about everywhere, and places that have CRV tax you get it back, sometimes up to $.10 a bottle, etc) You reduce the amount of resources needed to make the same item compared to making it without recycling It saves natural resources as it takes less energy to make something with recycled material rather something new It saves space in landfills. The items that we recycle are not biodegradable.
