In Biology reagents or reactants are called substrate. In respiration, they are referred to as respiratory substrates. They are carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. Generally, for all living heterotrophs, carbohydrates and especially, glucose. Second point is that respiration may be aerobic or anaerobic. In aerobic respiration, respiratory substrate and molecular oxygen are required while anaerobic respiration is oxygen independent process.

Which compounds are reactants in the process of cellular respiration?

Oxygen and glucose are the reactants in cellular respiration. The cytoplasm and mitochondria are the location of the reactions. The purpose of cellular respiration is to convert energy from nutrients into ATP.

Why are cellular respiration and photosynthesis called mirror processes?

Because the reactants required for cellular respiration (glucose and oxygen) are the products ofphotosyntheses And the and the products of cellular respiration (carbon dioxide and water) are the reactants of photosynthesis.

The reactants of Aerobic cellular respiration are glucose and oxygen.

Relationship between two the products of photosynthesis and the reactants in cellular respiration?

The relationship is when the cellular respiration takes CO2 through the plants system it helps bring what is needed for photosynthesis to occur.
