Most of the M1 is 'derestricted' a.k.a. the 'National speed limit' (indicated by a circular white sign with a diagonal black line through it). On a derestricted motorway, different speed limits will apply dependant on the vehicle being driven:70mphCars (unless towing).Motorcycles (unless towing).Car derived vans (unless towing).Multi Purpose vehicles (unless towing).Motorhomes under 3.05 tonnes.60mphCars towing trailers or caravans.Motorcycles towing trailers or caravans .Car derived vans towing trailers or caravans.Multi Purpose vehicles towing trailers or caravans .Motorhomes over 3.05 tonnes.Buses.Coaches.Minibuses.Goods vehicles. Some parts of the M1 are not derestricted and in these cases, the speed limit is well signed.
Assuming you mean trailers as in trailers you tow behind something (not movie trailers) you can get them from lots of places, but from experience I'd recommend the towing and trailer centre. I bought one from there a while back, was well happy with it and with the price, and there's a lot of choice and they gave me a lot of good advice about towing it and looking after it.. and they do insurance through the NTTA too.

A prerequisite for safe towing is use of a proper combination of vehicles. A variety of compact cars, sport-utility vehicles and trucks, including those with front-wheel drive and power steering, are approved by their manufacturers for towing over long distances without speed restrictions. In order to determine whether a vehicle is suitable to be towed behind a motorhome, check the owner's manuals of the models you are considering; this is the only way to be sure the vehicle can be towed without drive-train modifications. The owner's manual will have specific written instructions on how to tow behind a motorhome, if it is approved.
Your hitch should have slots designated for the chains.

The maximum towing weight depends on the model (2 wheel or 4 wheel drive), engine, wheel base and GVW of the truck. Rule of thumb is that the trailer should not exceed the weight of the truck.
