Schools in Palestine are like any other school in the world. They teach Arabic, English, French, strong science courses in physics, chemistry and Biology that are pretty much the same as the ones taught in the United States. They teach Islamic religion, world history, arts, music and most other courses taught in other countries. The senior year at a high school in Palestine for science major students includes high levels of calculus, organic and inorganic chemistry, strong physics (e.g. Newton laws and Archimedes) & biology courses that are taught at the United States community colleges. Students are asked to write an essay in English and to take an English exam to get their high school diploma. I have finished my high school in Palestine and I am one of the best students in my science classes at an American college. The quality of education is very high, but the lack of real world experiments for science students is the difficulty we encounter. A student who was graduated from a Palestinian high school has a much higher performance that A student who was graduated from an American high school. I Hope that helps. KY

Palestine is a poor country. Of course, it is not destitute like most African countries, but it is on a similar economic footing as Egypt or Jordan.
