Since the coin is circulated and is not a rare date it is worth face value.
Un-circulated probably quite a bit. In circulation and worn with age it is worth a penny.
Lincoln Memorial cents minted between 1959 and 1981 are all worth about 2 cents for their copper content.
7-28-11>>> From the range of dates, the collection is likely in a Whitman Coin Folder Number Two. If the collection is complete, this folder holds 90 coins that includes the 1970-S Small Date variety, which is the only coin of any value, especially if the coins are circulated. As for a value? The collection needs to be seen. Take it to a coin dealer, but if the 1970-S small date is missing, don't expect much if any thing. Unfortunately, with most of the collections like this I see, the folder is worth more than the coins.
Only if you plan on taking them to a bank that'll count them for free. Billions were minted each year and anything you find in change will only be worth a penny.
Regardless of mint mark any circulated nickels from 1970 are in fact only worth, well, a nickel. as of 02/2010 even uncirculated ones only go for about 20-25 cents at retail, maybe 15 cents wholesale.
This is not an uncommon coin and therefore has little value. Most circulated coins are valued at $3 or less. A fully uncirculated coin could reach a value of $10 to a collector.
Yes, the 1964 coin is 90% silver and is worth about $11 in scrap silver, while the 1965-1970 issues are 40% silver and worth about $4.50 in scrap silver. All half dollars intended for circulation from 1971 onwards are only worth 50 cents.
From 1965 to 1970 and some special 1976 issued half dollars were composed of 40% silver, so there bullion value will exceed their face value for a circulated coin. Otherwise they are worth 50 cents generally in circulated condition. There are some exceptions but the scope of the question is too broad to answer fully.
There were 654,564,000 British Pennies minted with a date of 1967. It should be noted that unspecified quantities of British Pennies were also minted in 1968, 1969 and 1970, but were all dated 1967. These are included in the total.
Any circulated US cent, dime, nickel or quarter dated 1970 will be worth only its face value, except for a "small date" 1970-S cent. These are identifiable by a 7 that's almost the same size as the 0, rather than having a long descending tail.Uncirculated versions of these coins will be worth more but you need to be more specific by posting a new question with the coins' dates and mint marks.1970 half dollars were only issued in collectors' sets.
In 1970, one dollar was worth one dollar. Adjusted for inflation, one dollar in 1970 is just over $6 in 2014.
no offense but why would we do that?
