Generally, a better life.

Having said that, if you have been self-medicating an emotional problem by drinking you could have a resurgence of the problem(s) you have been suppressing. Treatment and/or AA can help you sort those things out. People who stop drinking should immediately have a physical exam, and the doctor can advise you about medical issues.

too much alcohol makes you throw up, gives you a headache, it makes you unreliable in your memories, it makes you a dangerous driver who breaks the law, it makes you stupid and it makes you fall under the table and sleep wherever you land. Too much alcohol also takes away your money. It makes you shout obscenities and drink even more. And it makes people not trust you and it can make you violent to both friends and family. It sometimes gets you a jail term and you might lose your driver's licence. Sometimes you kill when you are drunk so think before you drink too much. You could also kill yourself by driving off a cliff.

- Headaches & feeling light headed, as dehydration interferes with normal body processes, including waste disposal.

- Fatigue, as the body's metabolism is slowed - mild dehydration is probably the most common cause of daytime fatigue.

- Hunger & cravings due to weakening of the thirst mechanism

- Fluid retention as your body tries to hold on to the water it already has

- Constipation, as the body works to conserve its internal water sources
