I have taken this in the past for Back pain. The only side effects you might get are constipation. This is a codiene product, so if you are allergic to codiene don't take it. Also, eat something with it as codeine can make you nauseus. Don't take it for more than a few days at a time and you shouldn't be constipated. You can look at a website called jetchemist.com for labeled side effects. With any OTC product it is a Toxin medically speaking and is not good for certain organs (stomach, Liver ect..) So dont take more than the recommended dose. I think this is a great product and as long as your not abusing it and aren't allergic to codeine or paracetomol (acetiminophen) you should be fine. But as with everything talk to your doctor first. Hope this helps
