For women, less natural lube is produced. Also, it appears for the sex drive to be reduced while taking Cymbalta.
the answer to you questions is that people get the same side effects that they do on lower doses. I am a psychiatrist and has used cymbalta at 90mg and 120mg in very select patients. I only increase it over 60mg if the patient is having no side effects. If they start to have side effects at these higher doses, i have them lower the dose back to where they were. Those who were able to tolerate it felt better. Richard
The effectiveness of Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) is reduced, and the side effects more unpredictable. So, the answer is, generally no.
No... it's not an official side effect. However it shouldn't be mixed with blood thinners and new side-effects are still being reported. I have been on Cymbalta for a few years (shortly after it came out) and the known side effects then (2005) was a much shorter list than it is today. I've had problems with stomach bleeding from taking it with ibuprofen as well as syncope due from severe hypotension(low blood pressure) because of the cymbalta. Also, the higher the dose, the more pronounced the side effects are. I am prescribed the highest dose (120mg daily) but I typically only take 60-90mg.
Manic psychosis.
all I know is that I had never had any kind of kidney problem, but within 2-3 days of taking cymbalta just a couple of times (doc gave me a sample), I had my first kidney stones. I am convinced there was a connection, as Cymbalta does have urinary-related side effects.
Combining Cymbalta with an SSRI is not a great idea, because Cymbalta already has serotonin re-uptake inhibition action. Side-effects will likely be significantly worsen. So, if are indeed decided to do so, I would suggest an SSRI which has not so great side effect profile like Escitalopram (Lexapro/Cipralex) or Citalopram (Celexa). Watch out for sexual side effects!!
AnswerSomeone is really looking for a trip to the Psyche ward with a possible ending at the morgue. Take what is prescribed for you, the possible side effects and negative interactions have been taken into consideration by your physician.Adderall helps my Cymbalta, leave that other stuff alone.
You shouldn't be concerned with the side effects while using any recreational drugs--isn't that the point? If you're asking whether you'll have a major medical reaction to crank because you're taking Cymbalta--The answer is no. If you have a severe negative reaction to crank it's because you're body does not handle it well. This has no correlation with anti-depressants. Generally speaking, expect a headache when you're coming down off of any uppers regardless of taking prescribed anti-depressants.
you will get serotonin discounted syndrome!
Cymbalta side effects/symptoms after stopping it, even low dosage, can be quite unpleasant and frightening. Those so called "zaps" in the head that some people have discussed online, can continue for quite a while. I consider it a drug not to be used unless absolutely necessary and even then recommend you be monitored closely. Not so impressed! The price of this drug is outragious!
I've noticed that cymbalta and wellbutrin didn't cause dizziness, but as with every anti-depressant i have ever tried (and i've been on a great many of them) so far, every single one causes moderate to severe dizziness for a few days when you go off of them. In my opinion as far as fewest side effects go, cymbalta is the best one to try.
