Cymbalta is an antidepressant that belongs to a group of drugs known as selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSNRIs). It is used for treating general anxiety disorder and major depressive disorder.
Is it possible to overdose on Cymbalta?
Though it may be somewhat difficult to do, it is very possible and the lasting effects from a Cymbalta-related overdose are permanent and severe, at least from what I have personally experienced. If you have previous personality disorders (which by taking this medicine already- I would assume that you would), they will be greatly altered in a negative manner. I personally advanced from typical depression/anxiety/borderline to now dealing with agoraphobic schizophrenia. The typical side effects of dizziness, confusion, overheightened senses (usually causing hallucinations)- they...
What breed of dog is in the Cymbalta commercial?
I believe it's a weimaraner but I was wondering the same thing cuz he's so cute. You're right that it's a Weimaraner. I've owned two, and I'm 100% positive the one in the commercial is a female. The male faces are much broader. The one in the ad is strikingly pretty. ...
Can Cymbalta and Lexapro be taken together?
My psychiatrist prescribed both at once. Answer No they should not be taken together why not? Cymbalta and Lexapro have SIMILAR BUT NOT EXACTLY THE SAME mechanism of action [MEANING: these active ingredients illicit the same response and the enzymes attach to the same receptors (receivers) that prevents the serotinin from leaving the brain]. Cymbalta is an SNRI (Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor) and Lexapro an SSRI (Selective-Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor). Serotonin is "BELIEVED" (not certain) to lack from people who are clinically depressed and norepi has "significant" correlation...
Is it safe to take tenuate and amitriptyline at the same time?
Tenuate (Dospan) is an older (1970's) diet aid and having stimulant properties may increase irritability when taken with an "activating" antidepressant like amitriptyline. If you have problems with this , or teeth grinding, a better alternative might be Celexa/Lexapro/Effexor. ...
Can you take Cymbalta and citalopram together?
It is not recommended. Why would you need two SSRI medications? If one of these is not working, your doctor needs to add a different type of antidepressant, not another of the same kind. Often, adding a different type will work by "hitting" the depression from two different "directions." ...

What happens if you snort Adderall while taking Cymbalta and Seroquel and vistaril and Klonopin and Protonix?
Answer Someone is really looking for a trip to the Psyche ward with a possible ending at the morgue. Take what is prescribed for you, the possible side effects and negative interactions have been taken into consideration by your physician. Adderall helps my Cymbalta, leave that other stuff alone. ...

What is the difference between an ssri and an snri?
I found the best answers for questions regarding medication differences were found in asking a local pharmacist. They are required to know more regarding the interaction and composition of medications with the body than doctors. Remember, generally speaking, doctors PRACTICE medicine. For specific comparison, you might want to check out http://www.antidepressentfacts.com. It seems to answer the exact question you are asking. As I understand it, one reduces the production, while the other inhibits the re-absorbtion of seratonin. Seratonin controls appetite, energy and mood. There...

Can Cymbalta oxycodone and lorazepam be taking together?
I can only speak from my experience, but yes. I'm on 60mg cymbalta taken once per day and 80mg oxycontin (extended release oxycodone) taken 3 times per day (total 240mg). I also use 100mg lyrica taken twice per day and 20-40mg immediate release oxycodone for breakthrough pain. This is due to spinal nerve damage and neuropathic pain. That being said, I have taken lorazepam in addition to the above, but only every once in a while, not continuously. And I took the base...

Is it safe to take a combination of 25 mg of adderall 3 times daily 60 mg of Cymbalta once daily 20 mg of corgard 2 times daily 5 mg risperdal at bedtime and 25 xanax 3 times daily?
It could be as they are all used for different things - tolerability of medication varies a lot from person to person - I am assuming the Xanax is .25 mg per day. There is a once a day xanax and adderall which may keep the levals steadier and be easier to comply with. The above answer is inconclusive (stupid), I take it that you are going to different Doctors for all these different medications because one Doctor wouldn't prescribe these combinations...
Is Cymbalta the same as Xanax?
No. Not at all, not close. The opposite in fact. Cymbalta is an SSRI (depression type medication, a kind of upper) and Xanax is a Benzodiazepine used to treat panic attacks, hypertension, and the like. (a kind of downer) ...
Can you take Adderall immediate release with Wellbutrin XR?
Yes you can. Infact this is considered a great combination for these two medications. I took both myself. Doctors say Wellbutrin works very well with Adderall XR and Immediate release. Wellbutrin XL is considered to be on the "stimulant" side of anti depressants, so some may not do well on both. ...
Does the prescription drug Cymbalta cause excessive sweating?
My sweating is debilitating and embarrassing. I feel like it is ruining my life. I avoid many social activities because of it. it is embarrassing at work. I don't even have to be doing much, the sweat just pours sometimes. I'm going to wean myself from this drug before summer. [Second opinion] I also sweat excessively from Cymbalta, but have found that the sweating has reduced significantly over the past 12 months. I still sweat more than I did before Cymbalta, but...
Can you take tramadol and Cymbalta together?
These drugs are contraindicated. Tramadol interacts with the SSRI antidepressants and makes it much more likely that you will develop a potentially fatal condition known as Seratonin Syndrome. This causes rapid heartbeat, sweating, tremors, muscle rigidity, confusion, hallucination, a rise in body temperature which can be fatal, hallucinations, and coma. You also have an increased risk of having a seizure. Do not take tramadol with SSRI medications. ...
