An eggshell nail is a noticeably thin white nail plate that is more flexible than normal. Eggshell nails are normally weaker and can curve over the free edge. The condition is usually caused by improper diet, hereditary factors, internal disease or medication. Be very careful when manicuring these nails because they are fragile and can break easily. Use the fine side of an abrasive board (240 grit or higher) to file them gently and remove as little of the nail plate as possible. Don't use heavy pressure with a pusher at the base of the nail plate, because the nail is thinnest here and most likely to be punctured.
Eggshell nail disorder is where a persons finger nails (toe nails could be affected too I suppose) are thin, flexible, white, and curve over the edge of the finger. The nails are also much more fragile than normal ones, which is one of the reasons they're known as 'eggshell nails.' It's caused by poor diet, some medications, and genetic factors.

You can use vicks, listerine, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar to name a few. It can also very easily spread to other toenails or fingernails. Once fungus has cleared up, continue to use your choses fungus remedy to make sure it does not return.
