Seven forms of Dictatorship:
Absolutism
Despotism
Autocracy
Totalitarianism
Communism
Fascism
Theocracy
The two forms of government are:1)Democracy 2)Dictatorship
monarchy, democracy, and dictatorship.
The forms of government are aligarchy and democracy
They are both forms of government and no decisions can be made by the people.
The opposite of rule by the people would be a dictatorship, tyranny, or other form of absolute rule (over the people). An absolute monarchy could also qualify. In communism, the state would operate "for" the people, and would actually need elements of democracy to determine what was best for everyone. In practice, it usually consists of an open oligarchy by its executives (commissariat).
A dictator was appointed for a matter of months, not years. Six months was the standard time allotted for him to get his job done. However the dictatorship could be renewed by a vote of the senate. Julius Caesar was the exception, as even though his dictatorship had been renewed, he was also made perpetual dictator.A dictator was appointed for a matter of months, not years. Dictatorship as a form of government originated in ancient Rome, specifically in the 4th century BCE. During times of crisis, a dictator would be appointed to hold absolute power and make quick decisions for the well-being of the state. However, dictatorship has existed in various forms throughout history, predating its formal establishment in Rome.
