Central America landmarks
One major landmark are the Tikal ruins. They are located in Guatemala. One cool fact is that... Tikal is the largest ruined ancient Mayan city, located near Flores in Northern Guatemala.
Another landmark is Copan ruins which is in Honduras. What I think is cool about the ruins is that... the ruined citadel and imposing public squares reveal the three main stages of development before the city was abandoned in the early 10th century. I don't know why the the city was abandoned because they were very breathtaking. Another cool landmark is....Arenal Volcano which is a famous mountain in Costa Rica. A cool fact about the volcano is.. Arenal Volcano is one of the top ten most active volcanoes in the world and is the most active one in Costa Rica.
It was dormant for more than 400 years until 1968 when it violently erupted. It literally blew off the western side! Today it is daily erupting, but in very small doses and has become one of the most interesting places to visit in Costa Rica. There are 3 - 20 lava flowing explosions daily sending ash plumes one kilometer above the volcano and boulders down its sides.Panama Canal and well its kinda obvious that it is in Panama. The Panama Canal ship canal in Panama that connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. The canal cuts across the Isthmus of Panama and is a key conduit for international maritime trade.
