The Old Testament is full of just the right prophecies if you know how to do this.
Jesus mentioned the Holy Spirit a NUMBER of times. (I cannot list all of them)
1. From when He was baptized, he said He was instantly filled with the Holy Spirit.
2. Almost 10 times, he told his disciples that the Holy Spirit would come upon them and sanctify them.
3. He asked the Holy Spirit to comfort both him and his disciples.
4. After he was risen from the dead, he again said the Holy Spirit would descend upon his disciples and cause them to speak in tongues.
Again, Jesus talked about the Holy Spirit many times.
Jesus' teaching can be found throughout the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and James. The other books of the new testament also include teachings. Jesus' prophecies are also found throughout the new testament but are mainly in the book of Revelation. The commandments are found in the old testament.
The Bible has the history of the Hebrew people, the warnings of the prophets, the prophecies of the bible and in the new testament the teaching of Jesus.
Well, the Old Testaments contain what you may call the background story, I suppose. It contains all the prophecies of Jesus, and the Jews studied from the Old Testament. Jesus, who appears in the New Testament, fulfils all the prophecies written in the New Testament, which proves that he is in fact, Jesus.
Jesus quoted from 24 different Old Testament books. The New Testament as a whole quotes from 34 books of the Old Testament Books. Many of of the teachings of Jesus often expand and define the meaning of the Old Testament such as found in the teaching from the Sermon on the Mount after quoting the key passages.

The new testament contains the teaching of Jesus, and the books of Paul and the four gospels mainly.
No Jesus was talking of poor in spirit, and nothing to do with finance. As those who are "Poor in Spirit" have the most to gain.

There is no prophecy in the Old Testament, that Jesus will die and be resurrected on the third day. Apologists do comb through the Old Testament looking for prophecies like this, claiming to have found thousands, but none of them stands up to scrutiny.
