I love the Wright on Time series! It for elementary age...I'm not sure what reading age you were looking for. There's a bunch more that I can't remember the names of, but I know there is a website that specifically lists all the books that have homeschoolers as main characters in them. Maybe "Literature for Homeschoolers"or something? You could Google it.
