What are some cool games to play with your ferret?

My chinchilla loves running around in one of those excercise balls for rodents. You put the animal inside the ball (which is clear plastic and has air vents) so that they can run around safely and without getting lost. He also loves chewing on heavy cardboard rolls. I was suprised to find that chinchillas are quite social and pretty smart--and so VERY soft, of course! He likes to have his chin scratched.

I know that my guinea pigs like those edible huts and tunnels that you can buy. They love to hide and chew! Also, you could try a toy that came with my cage, it's a ball with a bell at the bottom that hangs at the top and you can put all kinds of veggies and grass in it. They love to swing it around and it also gives them a little work out to get the snack :]

These are some of the things I do with my ferrets

Lay the ferret on a blanket and carefully pull the blanket across the floor with the ferret on board (mine LOVE this)

Lie them on their back and gently slide them across the floor (bum first so if they bang into anything they don't hit their head)

Place them on your lap and gently move your knees up and down so the get bounced up and down.

If you're making the bed let them run around on the sheets while you do it. When you shake the duvet they will go nuts.
Ferrets LOVE to play in the tubes they have so much fun. And love to play in a ball.

Good games for ferrets are ones that enhance their natural instincts like catching prey, burrowing underground, etc

It's important to understanding a ferrets behavioral needs and their opportunity to express them. Ferrets toys can be balls, interactive toys such as those that move or bounce back when touched, and toys they can carry in their mouth. They love tunnels and anything they can dig and burrow in. Warning: Do not give ferrets any soft rubber or foam toys. Ferrets love to chew foam and rubber that if ingested could cause stomach blockage and can be deadly. Ferret chew toys must be either indestructible or digestible.
