Wolfram syndrome causes many disorders. Some disorders caused by Wolfram syndrome are loss of eyesight, loss of hearing as well as feeling tired and fatigued all the time.
Some disorders of nucleic acids include: Genetic disorders caused by mutations in DNA such as cystic fibrosis, Huntington's disease, and sickle cell anemia. RNA-related disorders like myotonic dystrophy and fragile X syndrome, which are caused by abnormal expansion of nucleotide repeats in the gene. Defects in enzymes involved in nucleic acid metabolism can lead to disorders like Lesch-Nyhan syndrome or SCID (severe combined immunodeficiency).
The most common type of chromosomal disorder is the Down syndrome caused by an added copy of chromosomes 21. More common chromosomal disorders are Klinefelter's syndrome and Turnerâ??s syndrome.
Some endocrine disorders that can cause weight gain include hypothyroidism, Cushing's syndrome, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Chromosomal disorders can be observed in a human karyotype. It can show whether there are extra chromosomes, or missing chromosomes, or malformed chromosomes, or whether chromosomes have extra pieces, or missing pieces.

Down Syndrome
There are many causes of retardation. These includes Down syndrome, velocariofacial syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome, problems during pregnancy and other genetic disorders.
No " following, but a condition such as trisomy 21, Downs syndrome, is caused by nondisjuction. The chromosomes fail to separate properly and one child is left with an extra chromosome number 21. The potetial other children that could have been born of this nondijuction event, those with only one chromosome 21, are not viable.
Pervasive Developmental Disorders,or PDD, are a range of disorders in which young children display delays in skills, especially social skills. Autism falls into this category, as does Asperger's syndrome and Rett's syndrome.
