Monera is the first Kingdom according to R.H. Whittaker's five-kingdom classification.
It comprises all prokaryotic (Without a well developed nucleus or nuclear membrane bound organelles) organisms and has NO eukaryotic( With a prominent nucleus and nuclear membrane bound organelles) organisms in it.
The sole members of this kingdom are bacteria. Blue- green algae also known as cyanobacteria come under this kingdom.
They are all unicellular. No organism is multicellular.
They reproduce by asexual means or vegetative means.
Some bacteria adopt a VERY primitive mode of sexual reproduction.
It has 3 main domains: Eubacteria, Cyanobacteria, Archaebacteria.
Characteristics of monerans
A. One-celled organisms
B. Cells have no membrane around the nucleus
C. Reproduce by splitting in two
D. Absorb nutrients from outside their bodies
E. Some monerans cause diseases, but others are helpful to people

Monera is bacteria Monera is a bacteria such as blue-green algae that has a cell wall, is single celled, and is an autotroph and heterotroph (makes both its own food and eats other organisms)
Monerans are unicellular microorganisms. These prokaryotic organisms do not have a nucleus nor organelles in their cytoplasm. Some are autotrophic, while others are heterotrophic.
They are the only one-celled kingdom out of the five kingdoms of life;Fungi, Plant, Animal, and Protista. Most Monerans are microscopic.
still havnt found my answer
Monera kingdom
Monera used to be the Kingdom classification for bacteria
Bacteria is found everywhere.
Phyla of Monera 1. schizophyta- bacteria 2. archaebacteria- primitive organisms that live in harsh climates 3. cyanophyta- blue-green bacteria that grows in ponds and streams 4. prochlorophyta- organisms that live in marine environment.
No, they do not. They rely on other moving beings.
absence of a cellular nucleus

monera
Monera vary in ways and is mostly single celled. Known as a prokaryote it has no nucleus or brain. Mostly living in microscopic colonies the monera do many things like invading other organisms. Sometimes the monera are dormant because they are not in the right environment and needs the right one. Dividing into 2 twins every 20 minutes they grow to the millions every day. They are found everywhere including the air. Monera is the most basic kingdom of the other 4.
They have no nucleus or organelles. They do not move. They obtain their nutrients by absorbing organisms through their cell wall. They are also single celled and microscopic
Monera are anaerobic.
the study of Monera is cokel
Both multicellular and unicellular organisms. for the plato users :)
A type of Monera is bacteria.
(...and plant cells as well) The cell wall. Although the structure and composition is very different, the existence of a cell wall is a common characteristic of these phyla.
