It would appear obvious that humans must take this seriously, and take advantage of this incredible science. But the anti-stem-cell ban is still in place. Even with the most recent discovery that stem cells can be found in the baby teeth lost by young children (Zandonella), a policy that is more harm then good is still in place here in America. The policy was enacted by the Bush Administration, but these new finds should be ample proof that it should be lifted. The evidence shows that stem cell research is the best course to advance modern medicine. If the ban can be abolished, America can join the world in promoting a healthier future for humanity. With its people and resources, it could become a leader in the science of stem cell research. Developing this science will benefit everyone, and it is time America stepped up to help the world. Stem cell research is the future of medicine, an important step towards better health for everyone.
