Johnny Tremain is a fictional character. So is Rab. This book is historical fiction, with some made-up and some real life characters.
To find out what the entire chapter was about, there is a site called sparknotes.com go on that and where it says search type in the book title Johnny Tremain and then it will show you some links but on one of them there will be a link that says summary of johnny tremain and you can see a very descriptive summary of each chapter. I use it when i need to finish a chapter and i am unable to finish it on that day. Hope it helps! P.S some links will be just google ads and not be the actual sparknotes summary if the first like you click on says summary and takes you to a different website then try another link that says summary good luck :)

Examples of hyperboles in "Johnny Tremain" include phrases such as "He felt as if his heart would burst with joy" and "His eyes were popping out of his head." These expressions exaggerate the character's emotions or physical reactions for dramatic effect.
It never says directly, but you know it's way before the battles of Lexington and Concord, and Cilla says at one point that Johnny way born way back in January, then Rab says he was seventeen last week, so it must be some time in March, 1758.
Surprisingly, there have been very few. One notable exception was Johnny Tremain, which dealt with a sort of junior-grade Paul Revere type ( Revere is in the film- as I recall- and there are unusual Patriot songs- some of which were written for the movie)- that has a Revolutionary war setting. Johnny Tremain was produced by Disney productions. the song ( Follow the Liberty tree) is synthetic- though the Sons of Liberty organization was real. The Patriot, about Colonial officer Francis Marion ( who was also known as the Swamp Fox) was a more recent l776-era combat film.
Their main foods are rice and beans, pork chops, smashed plantain, seafood, steaks, vegetarian, Asian, and for dessert they have fried johnny cakes.
Some foods mentioned in "Their Eyes Were Watching God" by Zora Neale Hurston include: hog head cheese, mulatto rice, huckleberries, biscuits, cornbread, and fried chicken. These foods are often used to illustrate themes of culture, identity, and community in the novel.
In the United States, many date from, or antedate the Civil War. ( Dixie) When Johnny comes marching home...) Some like Yankee Doodle- from the revolution. Oddly few serious patriotic songs from the Revolutionary period survive- it is known that ( Follow the Liberty Tree) from the movie Johnny Tremain was made-up for the occasion, though a Liberty Tree did exist.
