What are some fun and creative ideas for organizational fund raising for kids?
There are many fun and creative ways to raise funds for children's organizations. Generally, festivals and fairs work extremely well, and bake sales are also very profitable. Other ideas include a dance-a-thon, a half-mile walk, a dunking tank, and an art sale (featuring the children's art). All are fun and can be profitable. Some of the best fund raising ideas for kids include selling chocolate, jumping rope or any other athletic event, selling cookie dough or donuts. Restaurants like Mcdonalds and Chuck E Cheese sometimes even offer fundraising opportunities.

What are some unique fund-raising ideas that will get a whole community involved?
It really depends on what you're raising money for and who you want to have participate. If it's kids, try making woven hemp bracelets with beads to sell. Or have a bake sale. Car wash. And art auction (have some young artists donate works to be auctioned off). Of course, these aren't extremely original, but you never know. Hope this helps.

Fund Raising Idea?
Many schools and non-profit institutions have started to look for ways to make extra money since the economy has taken an extreme down turn. There are many fund raising ideas that people could utilize to make some extra money for whatever they need whether it be an upcoming business trip or new supplies. Fund raising ideas are many, but how well they work will depend greatly on your area. For instance, a bake sale might not raise the kind of money you need for your institution. Instead you may want to think on a larger scale like getting some corporate sponsorship to invest in your ideas. If you work for a non-profit organization, you have many different fund raising ideas to choose from. Because you are non-profit you will be able to take 100% of the donations and you most likely will not have to pay any taxes on it at all. A great fund raising idea would be to have some popular local bands organize a show specifically to raise money for what you need. Simply advertise for the shows by finding a few sponsors who are willing to take it on. Then charge about $10 a head for the show, letting them know that 100% of the profit will go toward helping your non-profit make ends meet. You will make so much money that you will even be able to pay many of the bands that play for you. Another fund raising idea is to have a silent auction and dinner. For such an event, you could easily charge about $35 a head and have the dinner catered by a local restaurant. Then, after dinner, have everyone browse the silent auction while a quiet jazz band plays. In addition, get a license to distribute liquor that has been donated from a local brewery or winery and you’ve got a great night ahead of you. Find different stores that are willing to donate items for the auction and get them out there. You will be amazed at how much money you will be able to bring in from a simple process like this. The money is out there, you just have to know how to find it.
Fund Raising 101: How to Make a Buck with a Bang?
When running a non-profit organization, whether it is a charitable foundation, government agency, or public group, it is important to become well versed in the art of fund raising. Non-profit organizations have very few other ways to bring in money, and if fund raising is done in a professional and interesting fashion, it has the potential to garner plenty of money. Some organizations have their own fund raising professionals on staff, while other organizations may choose to hire professional fund raisers who work for a fee. Professional fund raisers are either paid through money unrelated to the fund raising or with a percentage of the money raised as part of the fund raising. Although the Association of Fundraising Professionals and many members of the public frown upon the latter method, professional fund raisers are still frequently paid in this fashion. People giving money in a fund raiser usually do so in one of two ways: either they will give a straight out donation, or they will purchase an item or attend an event and pay for it. Fund raisers can be small, community-based events such as an amateur play put on by the local church or children selling Girl Scout cookies. On the other hand, some fund raisers are massive blowout events that are known worldwide. For example, the extremely successful Live Aid world concert of 1985 was held on the same day in several different countries. It raised approximately $283.6 million for famine relief in Ethiopia. However, an event such as Live Aid is probably beyond the capacity of most non-profit organizations. For non-profit organizations on the small side, some popular fund raising events include a nice banquet dinner with a speaker, a night of comedy, a Chinese auction or a raffle. In addition to the money raised from an event, people are often willing to donate items or their time as well, thus lowering costs even further. For instance, a speaker at a dinner may accept a lower fee than normal, or even waive the fee altogether as a way of helping the event. Donations, raising money, gathering funds

How to Start a Fund Raising Project?
Fund raising can refer to a simple bake sale or raising millions of dollars. This article will focus on capital fund raising. Capital fund raising campaigns can help organizations raise millions and even billions of dollars, in some cases. Many non-profit organizations will hold fund raising campaigns in order to obtain funds for their organization. These campaigns require strategic planning and detailed proposals. Each proposal will detail the amount of capital desired to raise, the length of time allotted to raise the desired funds, and how the funds will be appropriated once raised. Some non-profit organizations will raise money for land acquisition for a building, equipment or for operating costs for the organization. The fund raising campaign depends upon the needs of the organization. Some campaigns may last several years depending upon the amount of funds needed for the organization. Fund raising campaigns may include each of the following: Direct Mail Email Solicitation Internet Campaigns Telephone Solicitation or Telethons Galas or Balls Speakers Other fund raising methods are also available. However, these are some of the more common forms of fund raising that are available to raise millions of dollars. To raise this amount of money, organizations must solicit large corporations, foundations, wealthy individuals with endowments, and also appeal to the masses. Non-profit organizations often seek the assistance of churches, because most churches are philanthropic and are willing to donate to a worthy cause. Raising public awareness for the organization is the major way to solicit the funds for the organization. The more people who are aware, the more likely people will give to the organization. Television and gaining a spot on the local news will also increase awareness for a philanthropic cause. In the case of Haiti, for instance, telethons were held by major celebrity contributors. In one evening, a telethon raised millions for a single cause. Fund raising is not difficult if the cause is credible and the affluent are sympathetic to the needs of the organization. Volunteers are an essential part of philanthropic or non-profit campaigns. Most individuals do not have the funds to spend to secure people to raise funds for an organization. Many campaigns will solicit 100s of volunteers to raise funds for a cause. If the Haiti organization hired each of the celebrity volunteers, they would have spent more securing the talent, then they actually raised. Therefore, it is important to build a strong volunteer force or involve the current paid staff to conduct the fund raising event for the organization.
