thundoraqueen47's answer:
I simply looooooove Halloween. But finding a good one is pretty hard. Alien, maybe, or famous ones like Saw, Halloween, Chucky, or The Grudge. Check the movie theaters to see something cool on the big screen, and for those young at age, you could put down the ones up there, or if your mom (or dad) is too paranoid to watch horror movies, you could resort to a good comedy or even a drama.
But I totally recommend The Grudge! Or, The Ring was good too. Long live the grudge!
Here are a few PG-13 horror movies that you might like:
The Ring (the original, not the sequel), or its Japanese counterpart, Ringu
The Grudge (again, the original, not the sequel), or its Japanese counterpart, Ju-On
1408 starring John Cusack and Sam Jackson (one of my personal favorites)
What Lies Beneath starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford (a brilliant, creepy, spooky, classic old-school haunted house movie)
The Sixth Sense, starring Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment
Cloverfield
The Exorcism of Emily Rose starring Laura Linney
Stephen King's IT (which was a made-for-TV movie, rated TV-14)
Jaws (rated PG)
Poltergeist (the original, rated PG)
Night of the Living Dead (the original from 1968) This movie was actually never rated -- it's labeled Unrated -- but I've seen it many, many times and there's no sex or graphic violence.
Boogeyman (not one of my favorites, but it is rated PG-13 and who knows, you might like it)
AnswerDrag Me to Hell ( Probably the best )
The Messengers ( Kind of scary )
Shutter (Not scary but a good Horror movie)
