Firstly, you should take into account what kind of guitar you have and name it by what it looks like. Gibson Les Pauls normally have female names, especially if you are a guy, because of their perfect, sexy curves. Fenders can have a girls name too but normally they are slightly more aggressive than the Les Paul shape. Guitars like BC Rich for example, would normally have a masculine kind of name. Secondly, the name should be of a girl or thing that you loved, or something that is significant to you, or even just a name that you like - In the end, it's up to you. Some examples are: Dick Dale's Fender Stratocaster, "The Beast." Brian May's homemade guitar, "Red Special." And B.B. King's beautiful Gibson, "Lucille."
